A Statistically good Day

Hi everyone! This is a blog of my day at SSP!

7:00 AM: I woke up feeling pretty good after a long day on Sunday. After getting ready, I ate a hot pocket for breakfast and headed off to class. Unfortunately, the path to class was blocked, meaning I had to take a detour and speed walk to class. I still arrived on time!

8:30 AM: The lecture today was pretty confusing, but it made sense at the end. We were then given our fourth research objective, which was pretty manageable, and it was our first time writing our own procedure.

11:00 AM: Lunch was pretty much the best part of the day. An Indian place at the IMU (our lunch spot) had just opened, and it tasted pretty good. I was also excited for lab, as we finally were figuring out if our protein was fairly concentrated.

12:00 PM: At the start of lab, my group and I were pretty confused on what to do, as the procedure left a lot for us to figure out. We eventually were able to find out where to start, which made us able to focus for the rest of the lab.

2:00 PM: Things were going smoothly until I broke a box of pipet tips, meaning we had to refill a new one. It ended up working out, however, as all but one tip fell out, and that was all I needed to add our enzyme to the reaction plate.

6:00 PM: Dinner was fun, and it was one of the TA’s birthdays, meaning there was cake during dinner. After dinner, however, we had a lot of assignments due, and it was relatively difficult to get them done on time. We did end up finishing, and we ended the night off with a fun group game.
