Adventures and Aquariums

Hi again everyone! My name is Sydney and I have absolutely loved my time at SSP so far.  Everyone here is so nice and super intelligent.  Everybody seems to have made a home for themselves here that none of us want to leave.  This week being our last has definitely been a sore subject for everyone over the past few days.  Despite this, I am so grateful for my time here and am excited to get home despite the sadness associated with leaving SSP.

Today was a super fun day as we got to go on a field trip to the National Aquarium in Baltimore!  I absolutely loved every moment of the trip, but it was bitter-sweet as it was our last field trip of the program.  Despite this, and the fact that it did take a while to get there, it was definitely a good way to finish with our field trips.  The aquarium itself was absolutely incredible.  We saw so many cool things including dolphins, sharks, a rainforest section with frogs and birds, eels, and jellyfish.  We even got to see an archer fish feeding and dolphin training session!  The aquarium was absolutely gorgeous, and everyone had a great time there!

I know I have already mentioned it, but I truly feel like everyone has found their place at SSP.  It will be so sad to say goodbye to everyone in a week.  I literally feel like I have known these people for my entire life.  I cannot imagine leaving and I know everyone will cry next Wednesday.  I know we will all keep in touch as this program has truly changed all of our lives.

Best wishes to everyone and everyone at SSP.
