An Ode to SSP

In the summer’s brilliant glow, micro-mysteries unwind,
Beneath the scope and glassware, a bacterial ballet we find.
This, our Science Summer haven, where friendships, like cultures, grow,
Unseen genetics spun into knowledge, our antibiotic tableau.

Daylight starts sequenced whispers, night dons a paper’s lore,
In this realm of tiny dancers, our minds begin to explore.
Questions multiply like microbes, answers flow like genes,
The petri-dish of wisdom forms the canvas of our scenes.

But as the final sun sets on this stage of summer delight,
The echoes of laughter and learning will forever take flight.
Program’s end is a mere comma, not the tale’s final bend,
For the bonds forged in this crucible are too mighty to rend.

Farewell to labs and the microbial ballet’s trance,
Yet this summer’s wisdom forms our intellectual romance.
In every heart a research ember, to our summer, we render,
An ode to shared memories, a time to ever remember.
