College Fair Presentations

Saturday morning I woke up late – so late, in fact, I had to run to breakfast. I entered our dining
hall at 8:29 a.m. (it closes to guests at 8:30). Breakfast was alright, as usual, except the fried
potatoes tasted extra scrumptious. Yum!
I slept for a few hours until our college fair presentations. Admissions officers from Harvey Mudd
and Caltech came to Purdue to speak to us. Lots of interesting aspects to both colleges. At
Havey Mudd, you can cross register classes at any of the nearby Claremont colleges. How cool!
We spoke a lot about college that day. In the evening, in the same conference room, a team of
presenters affiliated with Purdue came to speak to us. We had to dress up in formal attire, so I
got to bust out my handy-dandy suit for the first time (the next time will be departure day). After
that, we had a guest speaker who spoke to us about inclusion in STEM and the importance of
science policy. How awesome!
