Day 16- A Spontaneous Summer Day (Biochemistry Purdue II)

Other than the activities that are part of our usual daily routine, such as lab work and assignments, we had a couple more fun things to do today!

At around 3, we listened to Dr. Mi-Sun Kim’s lecture about statins and the drug development process. Then, we were able to talk a bit more personally with her at the reception. It was so exciting to meet her!

Next, due to some technical difficulties (aka the window blinds not coming down, preventing view of the slideshow), we made the executive decision to listen to Dr. Avard’s lecture about molecular recognition outside! The weather was super nice, and some of us even laid on our stomachs to take notes more comfortably.

All in all, the fun activities planned for us and the spontaneous decisions made encompassed another fantastic day at SSP!
