Day 18- Red, White, and Blue (and also Green) (Biochemistry Purdue II)

The last two days have been very special and fun days for all of us in Biochem II. On Wednesday we went on a field trip with all of the Indiana-based SSP programs to Turkey Run State Park. Here we were able to go on fun, treacherous and joyous hikes. I recorded the hike my friends and I went on in a little video!

The rest of the day was filled with sports, food, and fun!

We all came back super exhausted, but little did we know, we had another tiring day tomorrow. On Thursday, we started off our day in the lab, but I’m sure you blog readers have seen too many photos of us doing boring lab procedures. Today is the Fourth of July, America’s day of independence for all of our foreign readers, but also Anna’s birthday!

We were given tasty ice cream cake (if we weren’t late to the celebration) to celebrate! After Anna’s birthday all of SSP Purdue went to downtown West Lafayette, where we were able to explore the city and see fireworks! We were able to find cool photo opportunities, try new candies from the nearby shop, and look at the amazing street art!

To celebrate this patriotic day, we filmed a tiktok, where we sang the entirety of our glorious nation’s national anthem (KA-KAW)!!!

At the end of the video, you can catch a glimpse of the awesome fireworks we were able to see while downtown!

Happy Birthday to both Anna B and America, this is Stanley signing off!
