Day 21 @ SSP Purdue – Everything at SSP

Creator: Steven J.

As of today, we are a little more than halfway done with SSP, it seems like the majority of what is supposed to be a lengthy 39 days has flown by. This blog will essentially be a recap which includes a series of snippets into different aspects of SSP.

FOOD AT SSP

Wiley Dining Hall opens at 7. Today, I had my typical breakfast at 7 at the Wiley Dining Hall.

Personal Experience: I discovered that the worse the coffee tastes, the longer it keeps you awake. And recently, the dining hall coffee has been keeping me awake during lectures ever since I started drinking it.

Then we transition into weekend food

This one is for the culture

LAB & EXPERIMENTS AT SSP

The lab is where most SSP participants spend most of their time during the day, and of course, all participants are very professional and good at what they do.

It was just a minor spill
New hairstyle for the lab
Gels
Satisfying color gradient

VIEWS AT SSP

I thought the campus would be much worse, but looking at it now, it’s pretty nice.

More views
Sidewalk
Bird’s eye view of the residential halls
Sunset
Traffic light in the afternoon. Nobody jaywalks here

PEOPLE AT SSP

Suits
Aehhhhhhhh (a sound that only Purdue 2023 participants can make)
Everybody
Don’t worry, he didn’t get hurt
It is important to note that Spongebob is not guaranteed every single year at SSP, so please don’t apply just for the Spongebob

Hopefully the last couple of pictures I have included in this blog have made you more excited about life at SSP, and for the last segment of this blog, I would like to provide more insight into our living conditions at SSP. I have included a link to a puzzle. Once the puzzle is solved, a picture of a participant’s dorm will appear and you will have the opportunity to enjoy its interior design and get a sense of the creativity that a typical SSP participant would have.
