Day 8– Blog (PUR Biochemistry I)

After a wonderful and intense week of research life, we had the first weekend at SSP. Instead of going out to eat, my roommate Ryan and I decided to make our own lunch at the open kitchen!We went to target and bought a lot of ingredients. We scrambled eggs, made sushi and vegetable soup. Ryan also taught me how to fry a steak, which is so delicious with a salad!We’ve decided to make roast chicken and pasta next week and are looking forward to it! Looking back at the first week, as an international student who came to the United States to study for the first time, I had a lot of worries and discomfort at first. But I gradually found that the SSP classmates and faculty were all nice people who helped me a lot when I integrated into the community. I hope next week’s life is more exciting!
