Our chemostat did not look contaminated! My group grew bacteria from our chemostat on agar plates so that we can grow colonies to choose for sequencing. Unfortunately, we had difficulty with growing colonies so we put our agar plates back into the incubator to hopefully help with colony growth. Dr. G taught us about genome assembly and we learned how to detect some inaccuracies with assembly as well. Today we got back our tie dye shirts and we are going to see fireworks later!
