Meet the GCSU Astrophysics TAs!

Hi, I’m Claire, a rising senior in physics at UIUC (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign). I also have a minor in materials science and am concentrating in biophysics. My research has been in condensed matter and materials, and I’m fascinated by the intersections of physics with other fields. For fun, I read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi, sing, and juggle. Also don’t mind a chance to dust off my soccer skills!

Hi everyone, I’m Ian. I graduated from Harvard last year with a degree in physics. Since then, I’ve been on various adventures, including teaching physics in Atlanta.

Two truths and a lie: My hobbies are drumming, sewing, and repairing antique clocks.

Hey everyone, my name is Evan! I’m a rising senior at Georgia College & State University majoring in Computer Science. I’ve done research in condensed matter and love doing astrophysics work. In my free time I love to play bass, tennis, and cook. I’m so excited for a great summer with SSP!

Hey, I’m Maura! I am a rising senior at the Ohio State University double majoring in physics and astronomy/astrophysics. I am currently doing a research project on classifying an object using XMM Newton Data. I am also interested in black holes and general relativity. I enjoy drinking lattes, playing my saxophone, and traveling.
