This fall, I will be attending UNC-Wilmington to pursue my Master’s in Marine Biology. When I am not in the lab, I love to dance from ballet to hip hop and I taught tap dance classes for 3 years while in college. I also love watching TV/movies, eating Mexican food, baking cookies, and hanging out with my friends! I am so excited to meet you all on Arrival Day!

Hey everyone my name is Joey DuPree and I recently graduated from Saint Josephs University with a major in Neuroscience, minor in Pharmacology, and Certificate in Racism and Health with a concentration in molecular and cellular neuroscience. I will be starting my PhD in Neurobiology and Behavior at StonyBrook University after SSP ends. I’m excited to meet you guys and have a summer full of academic and personal growth.

Hi, I’m Shakil Ahmed, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biology and conducting research in Dr. Donovan Bailey’s Laboratory. My focus lies in exploring the evolutionary trajectory of organelle-derived DNA within the nuclear genome of the Fabaceae plants. Beyond my studies, I’m a sports enthusiast, enjoying cricket and soccer. Cooking is another passion of mine, where I find joy in experimenting with flavors. Oh, and let’s not forget my love for travel, exploring new horizons and cultures.
