Today is Arrival Day for SSP in Biochemistry at Purdue! As our first official blog post, we (the PUR-B Teaching Assistants) would like to introduce ourselves before we begin this exciting program for the next six weeks.

Hi everyone! I’m Colin. I just graduated from Purdue this semester in the Biochemistry department and after this summer I’m making my way to Madison Wisconsin for graduate school. In my free time I like to 3D print, paint miniatures, and make music. I also enjoy playing tabletop roleplaying games with my friends and the occasional video game.

Hey everyone, my name is Micah! I’m from a rural area just outside of West Lafayette and recently graduated with my BS in biochemistry from Purdue. I’m also starting a PhD at the University of Virginia in August. When I’m not in the lab, you can usually find me reading, playing video games, or hanging out with my pet corgi.

Hi everyone! My name is Gabby and I am a rising senior at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, Massachusetts, but I’m originally from New London, New Hampshire. I will be graduating in the spring with a Bachelor’s in Biology and Biotechnology with specialities in Bioinformatics and Philosophy. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, going for walks, working out, hanging out with my friends, and being outside.

Hello! My name is Jamilla and I just graduated from UCLA, majoring in biochemistry. I’m a huge fan of jigsaw puzzles, board games, and pretty much an indoorsy type of person.
