Hello! My name is Tien, and I am a rising senior from Florida.
I love science/engineering and I am so excited to partake in SSP!!
Today was the end of our first week of SSP at Georgetown.
The day started normally with oatmeal for breakfast and a cup of tea. I have had tea everyday for the past few days we have been here. The dining hall food has actually exceeded my expectations, but it is getting repetitive and I am missing a home cooked meal from my family.
I arrived at SSP with a headache which then turned into a nasty cough. I have been fighting for my life during labs and lectures for days and it is SO awkward to start coughing when everyone is silent during a lecture (embarrassing).
Today, we have no study session and instead a movie night (WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!)
I read my comics and books on my phone during it though…
I have made really great friends and everyone here is super friendly and (hopefully) I get to know many others even more 😀
My lab group FINALLY set up our experiment, just for us to check during the movie night and see that our bacteria all died hours later. We basically have to restart…
Overall though, I am happy and so excited for more!!
