Hey, my name’s Aubrey, I’m from Abbeville, South Carolina, and I’m also late with this week’s Sunday blog post, my bad.
Yesterday I woke up at like 11am which was really nice, making up that sleep debt, then our AC broke which was less nice, considering it got to like 98 degrees yesterday. We were going to have a pool day; however the pool was at full capacity, and we could not do that which sucked. I’ve heard that the TAs took a few people to jump in a fountain or smth which actually sounds epic. So instead of a pool day I went to the family center to practice piano for a few hours, but all of the pianos are like, deconstructed halfway? That and half the keys didn’t work. So it was really odd, got in some practice though, also grabbed some fruit from the dining hall and ate a banana with cup ramen in the common room.
After that I returned to our 100000+ degree room and took a two-hour nap before dinner, Angie (my roommate) thought I was dead. Then I went to help set up with dinner, got some diet Coke which is always a plus, had some banana bread with chocolate chips for dessert. Study session was actually really chill, I listened to music and finished up the deliverable things for some labs. After study session we got to temporarily switch rooms since ours was like well past the OSHA recommended standards, then I called my friend, talked for an hour, watched a little Doctor Who (always), and went to sleep.
Overall, very uneventful day for SSP, was much needed and appreciated.
