9:00 pm, and we’re done! Today was spent at Open House talking to each other, dressing up to outdo each other, and processing the fact that today marked our halfway point at SSP. In all honesty, we’ve agreed to stay in denial about Closing Day for the time being.
During the afternoon and evening activities, we were honored to be joined by not only multiple college admissions officers and alumnis, but also by Dr. Peter Park. Admittedly, college round table gave us a much better idea of the identities of Caltech, MIT, and Harvey Mudd than we expected. Moreso, Dr. Park’s talk on cancer genome sequencing fascinated a lot of us, shown very evidently with our endless stream of questions. Overall, we were just happy to be there as a class, thinking over the past 2.5 weeks, and looking forward to 2.5 more!
About Me:
Hello! I am Kylie from Bangkok, Thailand- away from the classroom, I can be found practicing Taekwondo or hiding in my room reading poetry. Within SSP, I can most likely be found in the lab with a chemostat and LB3 with the nostalgic genomics spotify playlist and a group of friends 🙂
