SSP so far

Hi everyone, my name is Cruz and I am a rising senior at the Science Academy of South Texas (Puro 956).  It was an average Sunday here at Georgetown, although it was also parent day so some kids got to go with their parents. It’s nice to have Sunday as a day where nothing academic except for a study session going on. This whole week we’ve worked long hours on galaxy starting and waiting for jobs to finish and analyzing genomes.

Thankfully our TAs ( Alvin, Elena, Isabell, and Griffin ) scheduled a kayaking trip where we got to paddle down the Potomac. After we came back to the dorm and rested after a long day. We then soon had study session at around 7:00 pm. So far we’ve visited the zoo, the National Children’s Research Hospital, the escape room, and on Wednesday the National Mall. These past few weeks have been so fun and I’m excited for the last 2 weeks finishing up the projects we’ve worked so hard on.
