A-Once-In-A-Lifetime-Experience

Today, July 24, was the last day at SSP. We pulled an all-nighter with my friends, spending the last hours together, cherishing all the moments we shared together. Time went by fast, it is morning now, and we have to get ready for the closing ceremony and say our last goodbyes. Every moment made me remember all the late nights we spent working on psets, coding and sharing our dreams and goals with each other.

When I first came to SSP, I just thought it would be some educational program with a lot of work to be done with other students, but it proved to be way more than that! It was indeed a lifetime educational experience not only regarding academic subjects, but on how to lead my life. Every person that I met here was a hard worker, wants to be the best at what they do and also dedicated. They showed me that anyone can be the best at his work with enough dedication and interest. They opened my eyes into the potential that I have and the accomplishments that I have made so far. All the hiking, karaoke and walks to stores, made everyone get closer to each other and create a bond that now, I don’t think will ever be broken.

Coming back to the last day, we tried not to be emotional when departure time came close, but I was one of the first to drop some eye tears as I felt like I’m losing my lifetime friends. However, that was not true, instead, SSP gave me lifetime friends that I get to interact with, and possibly work on groundbreaking research in the future. In addition to all the new topics I’ve learned in Astronomy, Physics, Math and Programming, I’ve learned how to dedicate my time into being the best at my set goals.

I’ll miss every single person at SSP.

Thank you for the lifetime experience!!!!
