Case for Support

Offering a first-class experience to these first-class students costs over $8,000 each. Admission is absolutely need-blind. Your donation allows us to guarantee to meet the demonstrated need of every admitted applicant with generous financial aid grants. Every summer, dozens of participants receive grants, and those from low income families attend absolutely free (read about them here). For 2018, we’ve budgeted $282,645 in financial aid grants to deserving participants.

That’s why, after financial aid, families pay only about half of our costs. You can help bridge that gap!a team at the scope

My family could never have afforded this program. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that every deserving teenager should experience. SSP changed my life irrevocably. So it would cause pain to my heart to see a student, who is qualified in every way, not attend because of the cost. That’s why I will donate. And why you should do the same.”

60th Anniversary Endowment Fund

In honor of SSP’s 60th birthday in 2018, we’re asking supporters to add a special gift to the 60th Anniversary Endowment Fund. Gifts to the Endowment Fund are invested, with returns providing a long-term financial cushion for SSP. Download the Endowment FAQ.

Thank you so much for the generous scholarship for my daughter! She’s thrilled and actually lacking the words to express how shocked and grateful she is for this help! So am I. Her travel plans are set, and all of the enrollment forms are completed!”
