The first day! -Nandini M.

I’m not gonna lie, writing the first blog post is definitely nerve wracking. But in the spirit of this being the genomics program’s first year (yes I’m going to be cheesy), writing the first blog post seems to fit perfectly.

I started the day off very early at 6 am (which my Arizona self was not happy with) and hurried down to meet the rest of the group to head to Wiley and eat breakfast.

After breakfast we walked to ABE where we spent much of the rest of the day. From exploring antibiotic resistance and the world’s superbugs to learning that Mr. Bowdon also has a secret career in music (yes this is real) – today was jam packed with so much learning and fun.

Between exploring the chemostat and its software to a surprise bacteria art session, the rest of the day flew by so fast, just as I’m sure the rest of the program will – and I can’t wait to see what SSP brings us next.
