Time to Lock In

Hi everyone, my name is Anthony and I am a rising senior from San Ramon, California. Time is flying as we head into the last full week of SSP. Today was pretty eventful considering we had nothing out of the ordinary scheduled. Our first morning activity was an abstract writing session with Dr. Lamanna, our new professor that came to Georgetown from Purdue. To be fully honest, it was quite stressful. I hadn’t handwritten anything for over a month, and I could not believe how bad my handwriting was.

After lunch, our wonderful TA Powell gave an inspiring lecture about the lessons she learned from her travels in India, Peru, Jordan, and Thailand. A lot of people cried (including my fabulous labmate Tien). At dinner, the talk was voted to be the “high of the day” unanimously.

After returning from lunch, we began a 3 hour grind on our Pset. I actually managed to finish the assignment before dinner!

As I am typing this blog during study session, Tien is sitting next to me with her stinky feet out on the table (unprofessional!). Earlier, a surprise Happy Birthday was sung for our wonderful SD Ms. McIntosh. Now, I am discussing a very cool paper with my STEM buddies Andrea and Julia.
