Travelling to SSP at Univ. of Colorado Boulder

Arriving by Air

The Denver airport (DEN) is served by most major airlines. The drive to campus takes 60 to 75 minutes. Options from the airport to campus:

  • Green Ride Boulder shared shuttle to Boulder, departing DEN hourly with door-to-door service. 303-997-0238 (Reservations are required). One way fare is $40 “Meet us on the East Side (Blue Signs) of Level 5 (Main Level/ Baggage Claim Level), outside door 505, at Island 5 beneath the “Special Permit” signs.”
  • SkyRide RTD bus, Route AB. $10.50 each way – the best value. Frequent, fast, and comfortable, with your luggage stored underneath. Visit the staffed RTD desk in the terminal to buy your ticket. Once in Boulder, ask the driver to stop at Broadway and Baseline, two blocks past the regular stop at Broadway and 27th That is a 12 minute, 0.7 mile walk to the Boulder Inn.
  • Rent a car. Likely to be expensive in summer. Be sure to ask at the counter how highway tolls are billed, since the fastest way to Boulder is via the E-470 tollway. Alternative: take the SkyRide to downtown Boulder and rent a car from the local Enterprise (they will pick you up).

Parking

On-campus parking is tightly regulated. Parking in Lot 308 is free after 5 pm Monday-Friday and all day Saturday & Sunday (unless there is a special event; check with CU Parking Services). Parking along Regent Drive or in Lot 306 is metered 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Finding SSP

Most of our activities are in the southeast corner of campus, centered in the Sommers-Bausch Observatory, tucked behind the landmark white dome of Fiske Planetarium: 2414 Regent Dr, Boulder, CO 80309. Dining is in the Center for Community (C4C) main dining hall. Our dorm is Arnett Hall.
