The day started with a 9:00 a.m. three-hour lecture on quantum circuits and qubits by the TAs. At noon, we enjoyed a delicious catered lunch in the End Zone of Chase. Right after lunch, sessions kicked off at 1:00 p.m. with reps from Caltech and Harvey Mudd. The Q&A session followed at 2:00 p.m.
Later, by 5:40 p.m., we suited up and set out for a healthy long walk to dinner, an exercise in both patience and appetite-building. After a delicious meal and celebrating one of our TA’s birthdays with a rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday,” we attended a keynote by a guest speaker on creating our own college experience at 7:00 p.m. By 9:45 p.m., it was time for movie night. We watched the initial half of “Interstellar,” a riveting and thought-provoking end to a packed day.
