Today is 17 days from Monday.
We had our field trip to TURKEY RUN!! 🦃
The day was so humid and hot, it made us all sweat so much during the hike.
In the morning, Mr. Shorey had prepared us breakfast in the North Lobby.
Turkey run was not too far away – when we got there, the area was crowded by so many people. Today’s field trip was joint with all Purdue and IU programs. As lunch was getting ready, we played basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, and so many more. It was great to watch everyone bond together, not just within the genomics program but also with all the other participants.
lunch was hotdogs!! Mr. Shorey had prepared raspberries (my personal request) and they were SO SO SO GOOD. thank you to the best site director again 🙂 April cut us watermelons as well!
After lunch, I played some soccer, then went on trail 9 hike with Ruth. There were quite a few arduous, rugged paths and some slippery rocks also. Since the day was so hot, the hike was demanding but it was so worth it! The sights were amazing and I loved spending time in nature. special appreciation to kabeer – his music saved the whole trip 😮💨 I’m curious how trail 3 went – I heard Dr. Lamanna talked about the microbes in their trail. Bacteria in nature! (Esthelle)
